History of the Home

236 Jones

2 Story (3 if you include full walk out basement) Brick Home. Built with a stable which was converted to a Garage in the 1920’s

The home was built in 1905, making it 108 years old.

Built by a Case Company Vice President for his father, Captain Jones who navigated a cargo ship on Lake Michigan.

A ship-themed room was installed on the 2nd floor of the home and it closely mimics the look of a ship’s cabin.

Since originally constructed, it is believed that only 4 owner occupants have resided in the dwelling. In the 1960’s, there was a rental tenant on the premises.

The owner who sold the house to us, allowed the house to slide into disrepair. Prior owners took great pride in maintaining this uniquely designed home and it is due to their care that the home is still beautiful to behold.
